She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. John Cook and Gladys Cook (Blankers) of Dutch; and her sister Stephanie Faye Cook. She is survived by: her daughters, Marlo (James Caldwell), Gina (Patrick Short) and Erika (Erik Gilbertson); her husband Stephen Eugene Syre; her grandchildren, Austin, Makenson Short and Caitlyn Caldwell; and her sisters, Linda Cook Lagerwey and Trish Cook Rogers (Jim). She is also survived by nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
