She was predeceased by : her parents, Emigdio Ruelas (Carmen González) and Carmen González; and her siblings, Antonio Ruelas, Victoria Ruelas, Jovita Ruelas, María Conception Ruelas Rojas, Sergio Aguayo and Emigdio Ruelas Jr. Alicia.
She is survived by : her husband Ismael Plazola; her children, Maria Plazola, Marta Plazola and Ismael Plazola Jr.; her grandchildren, Portia, Paige, Petra Plazola and Claribel Velasco; her pets, Louie and Canela; her siblings, Fransisco Ruelas, Emeria Ruelas Rivas, Rufina Ruelas Vázquez, Ana María Ruelas Sedano and Carmen Ruelas Rivas; and also Miguel Velasco. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
