He is survived by: his children, Melissa Johnson (Trevor), Tyler Ranney (Amanda), Megan Bell (Joshua) and Joe Ranney, Jr. (Virginia Ranney); Paula J. Ranney (Coddington). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
