He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecil Thacker and Lillian Schrock; his siblings, Ken Gordner and Donna Reidinger; his son Greg Gordner; his granddaughter Cassidy Gordner; and his father-in-law Paul Aspevig.

He is survived by : his former life partner Cecilia Pieti; his wife Linda Gordner; his son David Gordner (Amanda); his grandchildren, Benjamin and Cecilia; his mother-in-law Wilma Aspevig; his siblings-in-law, Jerome Aspevig (Sharon), Monte Aspevig and Carol Gordner; and his sister Barbara Andrews. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given in his memory to Central Lutheran Church or the Yakima Greenway.
