Michael Lynn Johnson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Lynn Johnson of Spokane Valley, Washington, born in Oakland, California, who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 60, after a hard battle with throat cancer. Michael is survived by his mother Rudell Hausman and step father Bryan Hausman (who has since passed away on 3.16.24) , sister Kathleen Overby (Johnson), brother Garry Johnson, and sister Denise Johnson, his ex wife Farrah Johnson, daughter Amyllia Johnson-Edwards, daughter Eliza Johnson and stepson Michael Johnson, as well as four grand daughters, Alycea Johnson 25, Rylee Johnson, 21, Taeloni Edwards 13 and Remi Edwards 9, as well as several nieces and nephews. Michael owned a landscaping business for many years and carried friendships built with customers though his life until he departed. Michael was a frequent visitor of the local casinos where he was often referred to as "Cowboy Mike", as you would never find Michael without his hat. He loved writing and was an amazing poet telling poetry to all who crossed his path. Michael always said "I died without hate in my heart or an enemy in my sight, I loved all who crossed my path and joy is my favorite word". Michael is proceeded in death by his father Gregg Johnson, sister Janet Wentz (Johnson). Michael is greatly missed by his friends and family and will forever hold a place in all of the hearts he touched.
Though Michael has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May their spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Chewelah City Park (North Park Street, Chewelah, Washington 99109).
