It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Prescott (Sunnyside, Washington), who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Alice has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Amalia Lorenz Martin and Jacob Martin. She is survived by: her daughter Kathleen Sparrow Rogers; her grandsons, Keith Sparrow (Judi Holman Sparrow) and Kurtis Sparrow (Kristin Carroll Sparrow); her great grandchildren, Jared Holman (Sparrow) and Braiden Sparrow of Pasco, WA.; her great great grandchild Penelope Holman; and her brother Jacob Martin (Molly Kleingartner). She is also survived by several friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith Funeral Home (528 S 8th St, Sunnyside, WA 98944). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lower Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery (7800 Van Belle Rd, Sunnyside, WA 98944).
