It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Angelita Peña of Sunnyside, Washington, who passed away on November 16, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Evangelina Guerra and Felix Guerra; her siblings, Jose Guerra (Rosa), Narciso Guerra, Monce Guerra, Antonia Fraga (Gloria) and Lusila Benavidez; her son Jose Luis Pena; her grandsons, Joey Pena and Aaron Pena; and her grandfathers, Romy Pena, John Pena (Sue), Robert Pena and Ruben Pena (Linda).
She is survived by: her husband Ricardo Pena; and her children, Rick Pena (Yolanda), Israel Pena (Delores), Joe Pena, Connie Anaya (Ramon) and Sally Garcia (Paul). She is also survived by her 36 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren and 46 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (528 S 8th St, Sunnyside, WA 98944). A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Zillah Community Center.
