He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelia Haak (Vegter) and Henry Haak; and his siblings, John VanHill, Clarence, Arie, William, Henrietta and Theresa.
He is survived by: his former wife Katheryn Anne Keyzer; his wife Anne Haak; his children, Dale, Nell of Richmond Virgina, Connie, Tony Hillerman, Bernie Lee, Donald, Evangeline, James, Karen, Paul and Colleen; his siblings, Henry, Karen, Jo An, Corinne and Nelvin Volgel; and his sister-in-law Etheleen Haak. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
