He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Vernie Rice and Lorena Rice; and his brother Jim Rice of Sunnyside, WA.. He is survived by: his former spouse Patrica Patnode; his wife Pat; his children, Jewel Kolb (Dan) of Hayden, ID, Rob Rice (Sue) of Sunnyside, WA and Lori Rice (Jec Gamus) of Pasco, WA; and his sister Louise Heitzman (Donnie). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
