He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Janzen and Marian Janzen (Regier); his wife Lucille Klaassen of Hillsboro, Kansas.; his children, Joel, Julie Janzen Shires (Paul Shires) of Arroyo Grande, CA, Greg Janzen (Doris Acosta), Jane Ellen Kramer (David Kramer) and Emily Janzen Reimer Lawrence (Troy Reimer) of Kansas; his brother John Janzen (Shirley); and his grandchildren, William Shirefley (Tess Shirefley), Addison Kramer, Adam Shires, Benjamin Reimer, Elliott Kramer (Sam Kramer), Jonathan Reimer, Greta Kramer, Griffin Janzen, Lucy Reimer and Matthew Reimer.
