He was predeceased by: his parents, Ursula Griswold and Earl Griswold. He is survived by: his wife Kate Frost-Griswold; his children, Bridget Olsen (Nils), Rosemary Smith (Kelly), Garth Griswold (Gail) and Ryan Griswold (Janie); and his grandchildren, Emily, Grace, Megan, Neal, Gretchen, Grady, Oliver, Tyler and Max.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cure IBM foundation (Inclusion Body Myostis, a rare for of muscular dystrophy).
