He was predeceased by : his mother Victoria Perez Garcia; his wife Mary Alvarado; his daughter Connie Hernandez (Fermin); and his son-in-law Fermin Hernandez. He is survived by : his former life partner Mary Ellen Ramos of Crawley; his children, Berney Alvarado Jr., Pat Garcia (Andres) and Vicki Alvarado; and his wife Bertha Alvarado. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
