With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Jacob Schmautz (Tumwater, Washington), born in Missoula, Montana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 12, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Erma Schmautz (Emma Landseidel) and Herbert Schmautz; and his siblings, Robert, Richard Schmautz (Dick) and Nancy Baer.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jacob, Joel and Gabe; his wife Dawne Schmautz; his daughters, Noelle (Bryan Tennant) of Lacey and Kristin; his sister Marianne Fehr of Missoula; and his pet Blackie. He is also survived by grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
