He was predeceased by: his son David; and his sister Vada Dicus. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Swearingen; his daughter Darinda Coble (Bill); his grandson Jeremiah; his daughter Darla Steiner (Jack); his grandchildren, Olivia and Diego; and his siblings, Dwight Scroggins and Ardith Hinman.
