He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Gerkey and Frances Ferenbacher Gerkey; his stepmother Lola Rose Gerkey; his sister June Gerkey Myers; his stepbrother Bud Rose; his brothers, Frank Munns, Harold Oliver and Carroll Davis; and his sister-in-law Nydia Jane Munns Oliver.
He is survived by: his wife Nadine Munns Gerkey; his sons, Steve and Edward; his daughter-in-law Becky Torres Gerkey; his stepsister Betty Hastings; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Frances Munns Towner (Red), Eulah Munns Davis and Mike Ferrante.
