He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Bowton and Edna Bowton. He is survived by: his former wife Becky Sowell; his wife Bonnie; his children, Dr. Eric Bowton (Kari), Dan Bowton (Kim Shugart), Brett Bowton-Meade (Amy), Shanna Scott (Michael) and Michele Peters; his siblings, Gerald Wellington (Bev) and Bonnie Rancour (Leo); and his brother-in-law Gordon Ward (Joan). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons.
