He was predeceased by: his father Gary Short; his wife Nancy Short; his grandmothers, Opal Patton and Jean Miller; and his father-in-law Raymond Kenworthy.
He is survived by: his mother Judy Short; his son Stephen Short; his mother-in-law Mary Kenworthy; his siblings, Craig Short (Janie) and Angie Brown (Jim); his nieces, Randilyn Worthing and Kaylee Brown; and also, Cheryl Kerby (Randy), Mike Kenworthy (Staci), Dan Kenworthy (Jennifer) and Scott Kenworthy (Holly). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
