It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret M. Caldwell of White Salmon, Washington, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Bakken and Florence Bakken; her husband William J. Caldwell; her siblings, John Bakken III, Arthur Bakken and Anna Doogan; and her granddaughter Sherry Lynn Cowan.

She is survived by : her children, Wayne Lange (Jilda) of Jackson, GA, Lois "Tami" Cowan of Ottawa, IL, Peggy Gelinas (Karl) of Smithville, MO and James Smith of Seneca, IL; her stepchildren, James "Bill" Caldwell (Margaret "Miki") of White Salmon, WA and Candice Woods of Springfield, IL; her grandchildren, Jeremy Lange (Joanna), Eric Lange (Cindy Abraham), Kirstin Bradberry (Jonathan), Josh Rosendahl (Nikki), Steven Cowan (Kylie Adams), Elaina "Lainey" Gelinas and Robert "RJ" Gelinas; and her siblings, Donald Bakken (Donna), Hazel Spraggins, Esther Doogan, Dorothy Stanley and Blanche Muffler (Bill). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Red Cross in her name would be appreciated.
