It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecilia Buechner of Wapato, Washington, born in Calipatria, California, who passed away on April 25, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, may Cecilia find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

She was predeceased by : her husband Warren; and her son Dale. She is survived by : her son Duane; her daughter-in-law Barbara Groth; her grandchildren, Derek (LeAnna), Jerad (Rachel), Diana and Greg Hallauer; and her great grandchildren, Tyler (Jessica), Ross (Emma) and Blake (Kacey). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Cathedral (15 S 12th Ave, Yakima, WA 98902). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Reservation Community Memorial Park (5161 W Wapato Rd, Wapato, WA 98951).
