He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clay Carroll and Clare Carroll; his wife Kaye Klingele; his great grandchildren, Alec James Heneghen and Isaih Michael Brooks; his sister Helen Riel (David) of Huntington Beach, CA; his daughters, Mary Mattie of Spokane and Patricia Sevigny (Jim) of Yakima; his great grandchildren, Stefanie Heinen (Tad), Joshua Sevigny (Stephanie), Katie Shaw (Hank), Joseph Sevigny (Kerri), Rebecca Heneghen (Tim), Sara Harris (Patrick), Rachel Toth (Matt) and Jude Sevigny (Terisha); and his great great grandchild Kaia. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
