He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Freshwater and Eloise Freshwater (Perham); his wife Karen; his children, Tamara and Travis (Kathy); his grandsons, Benjamin and Jacob; his sister Elizabeth (Tony); and his stepsons, Gregory, Randall and Kevin Garner.

Donations for the family can be made to Union Gospel Mission or Westside Baptist Church.
