With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Lucile (Berry) Hovis (Yakima, Washington), born in Brewster, Kansas, who passed away on April 20, 2022 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Neal Berry and Laura Ann Berry (Shehi); her husband Truman Hovis; her sons, Dale Hovis and Gene Hovis; and her siblings, Neal Berry, Dale Berry and Betty Beem (Berry).
She is survived by: her children, Don Hovis (Mary Jane) of Yakima and Joyce Oldoski (Tom) of Tacoma; and her daughter-in-law Daphne Hovis of Edmonds.
She had two days a week set aside for cards with her friends until the pandemic hit and she had to cut back to just one.
