He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gordon McFarland and Lillian McFarland; his brother Robert; his wife Janice (McCreary); his children, Douglas Scott Stahl, Lyle Dean Stahl, Michael McFarland (Joy), Robert McFarland (Cindy) and Jenifer Bair (McFarland); his grandchildren, Erik, Michelle, Connor, Ian (McFarland), Jace, Seth and Ryan (Bair); and his great grandchild Soren McFarland.
