He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lenard Houwen and Mildred Vander Houwen; and his children, Debbie Vander Houwen, Laurie Steward, Tim Vander Houwen, Jerrie Vander Houwen, Maria Madrigal and Fernando Madrigal. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
