He was predeceased by: his wife Lilly V. Johnson; his brother James; his son Paul; his granddaughter Jessica; his parents, Chris and Olga; and his brothers, Milton, Parnell and Chester.

He is survived by: his children, Gary Fredrickson, Richard Castro (Andy), Kaye Swanson (Gary) and Vicki Berg (Gary). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
