She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Sylvester and Mabel Sylvester (Montgomery); her husband Howard Vassau; her son Keith; her grandson Craig; and her siblings, Warren "Smokey" and Julia. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Amery.
