He is survived by: his former wife Gwendolyn Godden; his wife Gwen; his children, Renee Morris (Lester) of Elk River, MN, Vance Schrimpf of St. Paul, MN and David Schrimpf of Minneapolis, MN; his grandson Shea Morris of Prior Lake, MN; and his siblings, Marvin Schrimpf of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Elaine Greenfield of North Branch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
