He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip A. Wears and Evelyn C. Wears Jackelen (Roethle); his brother Alan Wears; his nephew Matthew Kozak; and his stepfather Charles Jackelen.
He is survived by: his spouse Terry O'Neil; his son Patrick Wears; his siblings, Karen Henrikson (Don), Sandra Nihiser (Edward), Sylvia Kozak Hayward (Carl), Lois Peper (Stan Proden), Curtis Wears (Susan) and Sidney Jones Amery (Lee); and his pets, Maggie and Max. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be welcome to the Amery Food Shelf, Wears Family and Friends Scholarship or Charity of your Choice.
