Virginia Ruth Nelson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 15, 2020, at the age of 97, Virginia Ruth Nelson of Amery, Wisconsin, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Virginia Ruth Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Croner and Lydia Croner (Satterlund); her brother Norwood Croner; and her daughter Annette Waggoner. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Donald O. Nelson; her children, Douglas, Doug Nelson (Kori) of Amery, WI and Rev. Mary Ann Bowman (Greg) of Pigeon Falls, WI; her son-in-law Peter Waggoner; her grandchildren, Bryce Weaver, Jay Weaver (Jill), Paige Martinson (Matt), Brooke Wilcox (Joe), Brittany Bowman and Liz Bowman; and her friend Rev. Martha Ann Baumer of Columbus, Ohio.. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, several other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Congregational Church, Interfaith Caregivers of Polk County, Northwoods Homeless Shelter, or the Amery Public Library.
