He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Jopek and Florence Jopek (Zwara); his son Tim; his grandson Ryan; his parents-in-law, Elvin and Clara Mason; and his sister-in-law Jo Ann Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Peg; his sons, Brian (Minocqua) and Matthew; and his brother Tom. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
