He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Thiel and Anna Thiel (Klement) of Pella, WI; and his siblings, Retired Colonel Wilbur (Delores) of Columbus, GA, Wallace, Arthur (Lou) of Trumbull, CT, Bert (Jean) of Pella, WI, Jack (Jan) of Markesan, WI and LaVaun Much (Bud) of Winneconne, WI..
He is survived by: his significant other Jean M. Thiel (Aschenbrenner); his children, Joseph Thiel (Debbie) of Menasha, WI, Daniel Thiel of Appleton, WI, David Thiel (Colleen) of Alpharetta, GA, Mary Parr (Steve) of Miamisburg, OH, Thomas Thiel (Becky) of Appleton, WI and Katherine Morgan (Tim) of Chicago, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Germaine Tischauser of Marion, WI and Marvin Herrmann of Shawano, WI.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in honor of Carl to go to his favorite charities. Donations can be sent to the family or brought to the church.
