He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Sommers and Lorraine Sommers (Scharmann); his siblings, Muriel Ponders, Audrey Lathrop and Leroy Sommers; and his grandson Casey Sommers.
He is survived by: his children, Lori McMyler of Columbus, OH, Brian Sommers of Wrightstown, WI, Jeffrey Sommers (Courtney) of Sydney, Christopher Sommers (Kellie) of Chicago, IL and Brooke Sommers of Appleton, WI; his grandchildren, Brenton McMyler, Nikole Jansen (Brent), Collin Floyd, Lexus Sommers, Spencer Sommers and Charlie Sommers; and his sisters, Betty Boelter (Dallas) of Appleton, WI and Eileen Norenberg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
