He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Boettcher and Clara Boettcher (Duchow); his grandparents, Bernard, Ida Duchow (Kiesow), Herman and Martha Boettcher (Krueger); and his godmother Frena Pagel (Duchow).

He is survived by: his wife Kay Koehler; his children, Susan Boettcher (Greenville) and Michael (Stacy); and his grandchildren, Alexandria and Bryna. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, many cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial fund has been established for Willow Lane Assisted Living, 350 W. Elsner Rd., Appleton, WI 54913.
