He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Gilbert and Genevieve Gilbert (Erickson); and his siblings, James Gilbert (Sybil) and Beverly Medrow (Carl). He is survived by: his grandchildren, John, Irmgard and Mile of Music; his wife Irmgard; his daughters, Dawn Biechler (Mike) and Ann Gruper (Steve); his grandchildren, Brittney (Jake), Dylan, Brandon, Ace, Dalton and Eliette; his great grandchild Lyla; and his sister Phyllis Gies (Richard).
