He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schmidt and Elizabeth Schmidt (Hinks); his wife Dolores Schmidt; his siblings, Mary, Jim, Larry, Jerry Schmidt and Editha Bonneville; and his siblings-in-law, Geneva Schmidt, Alice Schmidt, Betty Hickenbothem (Bob), Fran Hollenback (Mickey), Jean Falk (Red), Marie Heimmerman (Leroy), Marge Balza (Bob) and Curley.
He is survived by: his children, Ray Schmidt, Liz Harvey (Jeff), Kathy Kelly (Brian), Patty Belongea (John) and Jenny Kispert (Tom); his grandchildren, Eric Schmidt, Cassie Schmidt (Justin Perry), Matt Harvey (Carolyn), Michael Harvey (Kristen), Stephen Kelly, Erin Zieglmeier (Jamie), Megan Saffo (TJ), Michelle VanLanen (Eugene), Ericia Maxfield (BJ), Alex Kispert (Susan Skaleski) and Mitchell Kispert (Casey Wall); his great grandchildren, Kendra Schmidt, Mayo, Kia Perry, Brayden Schmidt, Tansy Van Lankvelt (Ryan), Orion West, Sophie Harvey, Payten VanLanen, Decklin Maxfield and Oakley Zieglmeier; his sister Sister Cabrini Schmidt; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Henning and Gen Hollenback; and also Curley. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
