She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret McCarty and Lewis McCarty; her sister Dolly Meyer; her son Shane Wardall; and her husband Randy Kohlman.

She is survived by: her sister Lois Nakashian; her sons, Mark Cassai (Faye), Kevin Wardall, Bryan Wardall, Sean Wardall (Nancy) and Michael Wardall (Irene); and her grandchildren, Nick, Anthony, Vincent, Catrina, Christina, Lewis, Bryce, Stephanie, Abby, Sheena, Atley, Nathaniel, Taylor, Oliver, Erika, Kayla, Kyle, Brenton, Talon and Alex.
