He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Sponberg and Bertha Sponberg; his brothers, Biben, Bertil Holger and Lars Birger; his siblings-in-law, Raymond, Paul, Russell, Gerry, Alice, Marie and Gladys; his son-in-law Steven Heitz; and also, Adolph and Edith Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Curt (Colleen) of Waupaca, WI, Patti Heitz of Fort Atkinson and Tom (Kim) of Corona, CA.; his grandchildren, Hans Sponberg (Sarah), Hanna Keifenbergs (Dan), Nate Heitz (Anna), Stephanie Heitz (Eric Rogers), Malcolm Heitz (Stacy Miller), Allison Christofolo (Dustin) and Sean Sponberg; his great grandchildren, Lexi, Lois Heitz, Aubrey, Bjorn Sponberg, Ansel, Aurealia Keifenbergs and Luca Christofol; his cousin Kerstin Karlsson of Sweden; and also, Annette and Sylvan Crossing.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations may be given to Rainbow Hospice.
