He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phelan and Florence Phelan (Wall); his sons, Dave and John; his grandchild Avery; and also, Edward and Bertha Van Domelen (Van Rossum).
He is survived by: his wife Germaine Van Domelen (Jeanie); his grandchildren, James Phelan (Katie), Tracy Phelan (Jason Lux), Sarah Vande Kolk (Ryan), Kayla Phelan, Tommy Patterson (Halie), Macie Walls, Nicolee Pulliam (Daniel), Jasper Volez, Jessica Phelan (Jesse Winkler), Nikki Trombello (Darin Diver Sr), Christopher Phelan, Kathleen, Liam, Bob III, Duane Phelan (Elena Rakowski), Jonah Phelan, Emily Armstrong (Thomas) and Savannah Phelan; his brother Bill Phelan (Kay); his parents-in-law, Donna Friebel (Merl) and Elka Van Domelen; his siblings, Alice LeFevre (Wayne), Flossie Hoffman (Elmer) and John (Barbara Phelan); and his parents-in-law, Delores Peters (Don), Roger Van Domelen (Mary), Richard Van Domelen, Joyce Mauthe and David Van Domelen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, private family services will be held.
