She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Kuhn and Florence Kuhn (Timm); her husband Sheldon Kurath; her sister Jeannie Ryan (Gerald); and her sister-in-law Nancy Whalen (James).
She is survived by: her children, Dean (Karen) of Winthrop, WA, David (Amy) of Mounds View, MN and Jane of Appleton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Shirley's honor.
