She was predeceased by: her mother Janice Jurek; and her stepfather Leroy Schesso. She is survived by: her father Lew Schaar; her husband Bruce; and her siblings, Garrett Schaar of Eagan, MN, Scott Schesso of Saint Paul, MN, Brett Schesso of Hudson, WI, Holly Richie of Forest Lake, MN and Michelle Mahler of Osceola, WI.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sonja's name to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
