He is survived by: his children, Angela Veik (Brian), Katie Gretzinger (Craig) and Matthew Van Asten; his grandchildren, Korbin, Anna, Ella, Grayson Veik, Grace and Finn Gretzinger; his siblings, Merlin Van Asten, Lois Schuessler (Lloyd), Marvin Van Asten (Mary), Carl Van Asten (Sharon), Lyle Van Asten and Jack Van Asten (Pauline); and the mother of his children Anne Van Asten. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
