He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Raymond Simon (Bud) and Jeannette Simon (Fasbender); his wife Lorri DeMotts; his children, Mark, Crystal (Thooft), David, Stephanie and Joshua Pinkos; his grandchildren, Dolley, Raymond and James; his siblings, Raymond (Si), Virginia Simon, Sandy (Gary Schommer), Judy (Roger Graetz), Sue (Terry Malmer), Debbie (Rollie Johnson), Sherry (Scott Peters) and Patrick (Marilyn Simon); his siblings-in-law, Bob Muller and Pam Pearson; his parents-in-law, Lloyd and Shirley DeMotts; his siblings, Violet Simon, David Simon and Nancy Muller; and his brothers-in-law, Joey Johnson and Kenny Dunn. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Dan's family or the Fletcher-Pechacek American Legion Post 121 to be used to honor veterans and active duty members of the armed services by promoting pride in the United States of America.
