She was predeceased by : her parents, Clare Linn Larson and Ludwig Peder Larson (Doc); her husband Keck; her sister Phyllis Gwendolinn Robinson; and her son-in-law John Schnier.

She is survived by : her children, Kathy Schnier, Clare Kunny (Colin Westerbeck) and Bart Kunny (Joy); her grandchildren, Christine (Kara Schnier), Stephen, Anders (Adam Kunny) and Kate Lewis (Jacob); her great grandchildren, Olivia and Sam Lewis; and her siblings-in-law, Joan Hagen (Kunny) and James Robinson.

Donations in LaVaughn's name may be made to the LaVaughn and Bartholomew "Keck" Kunny Endowed Biology Scholarship of Beloit College.
