It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon Humblet of Birnamwood, Wisconsin, born in Wausau, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Edmund Humblet; his uncle Merland Helf; and his aunts, Wilma Helf, Mavis Nauta (Harold) and Dolores Fleischmann (Ervin).
He is survived by: his mother Shirley Humblet (Helf); his friends, Ron and Al Bauch; his nieces, Amanda Koss (Robert), Ella Humblet and Marina Humblet; his nephew Jeremy Hunt (Amy); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Noah, Lucy, Eli, Zoe, Quentin, Olivia and Evie. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home - Birnamwood (445 Main St, Birnamwood, WI 54414).
He golfed up until Parkinson's affected his ability to hit a drive, but he still putted when the opportunity presented itself. The Parkinson's could not stop him from hunting; however, and on opening day of bow season in 2023 he shot one of the best bucks of his life.
