He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Meister and Doris Meister of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.; his wife Shirley (Endres); his siblings, Elizabeth Mohring and Rodney Meister; his stepsister Beverly Compose; and his daughter-in-law Lori Meister.

He is survived by : his children, Dawn Vlietstra (Thomas), Jeffery Meister and Tammy Lehman (Douglas); his grandchildren, Rachel Bauch (Dustin), Keith Vlietstra (Mandy), Megan LaValley (Garett), Molly Vlietstra, Jamie Rainville (Matt), Eric Meister (Brittany), Allan Meister (McKenzy), Tony Meister, Brendan Lehman (Samantha), Teagon Lehman and Brogan Lehman; and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Emerly, Kendyl, Olyvia, Haylie, Krista, Emma, Michael, Hannah and William.
