He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hughes and Margaret Dreifuerst Hughes; his wife Sharon; his parents-in-law, Clarence Helmbrecht and Donnabelle Helmbrecht; his sister Carol Brown; and his brothers-in-law, Leo Brown, Donald Uelmen and Gib Buechel.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Donnelly (Gary) of Birnamwood, John Bakkum (Tracey) of Campbellsport and Jodi Bakkum (Brian) of Westby; his grandchildren, Ben (Jeanine), Elizabeth (Tim), Danielle, Jacob (Savanna), Megan, Nicole and Matthew; his great grandchild Haddie; his sisters, Janet Hanson (Ronald) of Campbellsport, Anne Uelmen of Eden and Joan Eggers (Jack) of West Bend; and his sisters-in-law, Paula Zahn (Chuck), Sue Freund (Dick) and Pat LaPine. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
