He is survived by: his wife Bernice Hemmersbach; his children, Karen Brueggen of Cashton, Barbara Von Ruden (Gary) of Ontario, Clayton Brueggen (Sandy) of Sparta, Janet Gillitzer of Westby and Lois Clements (Denny) of Bangor; his grandchildren, Amy Becker (Jeremiah) and Jeremy Hanson (Kristen); his great grandchildren, Isaac, Deven, Haley, Gavin and Whitney Fagan (Seth); his sister Mary Ann Leis (Leslie); his sister-in-law Frances Brueggen; Dawson, Aliza, Delilah, Sadie, Josie, Sarah Brueggen (Conner Miles), Erin Kabat (Dan), Hunter, Alexa, Jesse Caulum (Amanda), Arlo and Hannah Peterson (Tyler Burkett). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
