He was predeceased by : his parents, Harvey Bernard and Anita Bernard (Koehler); his wife Donna Spletter; his siblings, Lonnie Bernard and Sandra Bernard; his brothers-in-law, Jerome "Jerry" Broehm and Allan Buchholz; and his mother-in-law Madeline Spletter.
He is survived by : his sons, Jeffrey Bernard (Heather) of Appleton and Brian Bernard (Victoria) of New Holstein; his grandchild Lauren Bernard; his stepchildren, Carrie Allen of Chilton and Tim Lisowe (Karen) of Sheboygan Falls; his stepgrandchildren, Jamie, Shawn, Parker, Cullen and Camden; his sisters, Joan Broehm of Brillion, Bette Buchholz of Kiel, Jane Korb (John) of St. Cloud and Susan Muellenbach (Tom) of New Holstein; his father-in-law Donald Spletter of Chilton; his siblings-in-law, Marsha Lisowe (James "Jim") of New Holstein, Paula Feldner (Dave) of Elkhart Lake, Kathy Meyer (Larry) of Chilton and Tom Spletter (Lori) of Fond; and his close friend Jeanette Boettcher of Chilton. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
