He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hatlestad and Ruby Hatlestad (Harrold); his wife Carolyn Pulkas; his sister Evelyn; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Reynolds, Sam MacGregor and John Blake.
He is survived by: his children, Tim (Caroline) of Appleton and Shelly of La Crosse; his siblings, Otto Hatlestad (Karen), Karen MacGregor, Rachel Cardillo (Charles), Beth Olympia and Kate Blake; and his goddaughter Angela Peters Jager.
