With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verlene Martinek (Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin), born in Bloomer, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 16, 2019 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lauer and Gertrude Lauer (Heidtke); and her daughter Jocelyn. She is survived by: her husband Donald Martinek; her children, John Martinek (Beth) of Chippewa Falls, Jeff Martinek (Shawn Dolan) of Eau Claire, Jordon Martinek of Jim Falls, Jerome Martinek (Melanie McManus) of Chippewa Falls, Julie Fenner (Bradley Hendrickson) of Elk Mound, Jerilyn O'Brien (Michael) of Florence and Jennifer Schultz (James Stanek) of Chippewa Falls; and her siblings, John Lauer (Elaine) of Bloomer, Vernon Lauer (Darlene) of Bloomer, Donald Lauer (Peggy) of Bloomer, Clarice Woodruff (Donald) of Chippewa Falls, Mildred Schweinler of Chippewa Falls and Carol Olson (Duane) of Taylors Falls, MN. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
